Henri Rouillé D’Orfeuil, the current chairman of Coordination Sud (a coalition of French international aid and development NGOs), is an agricultural engineer and doctor of economics.

His professional career started in 1971 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he was appointed agricultural adviser. From 1981 to 1982, he served as technical advisor to the Ministry of Cooperation.

Between 1989 and 1994, he held the post of Deputy Director of Development and Scientific, Technical and Educational Cooperation at the Foreign Affairs Ministry.

In 1995, Henri Rouillé D’Orfeuil moved to the Wold Bank, where he was appointed as an advisor. Six years later, in October 2001, he was given the position of Chairman of Coordination Sud.

Throughout his career, Henri Rouillé D'Orfeuil has always given lectures at universities and schools (the National School of Administration, the School for Advanced Studies in Social Sciences, the Sorbonne’s Institute for Economic and Social Development Studies, etc.). He also wrote various articles on NGOs and international development.

Today, Henri Rouillé D'Orfeuil is a member of the National Council for Sustainable Development. He is also devoted to his tasks in Coordination Sud, where he manages and supervises cooperation mechanisms between French NGOs.
