The analysis of UN reforms is a pre-requisite for a better development of its role and an enhanced efficiency of its actions. In fact, the growing role of NGOs in international development and cooperation is raising some questions about the future of NGOs and the position of governments vis-à-vis their increasing influence.

The International Conference on the Role of NGOs in Global Governance will try to provide an insightful analysis of UN reforms, and will debate on some questions related to the increasing influence of NGOs:

- Can NGOs have influence on the decision-making processes of governments?
- Can we interpret the actions of NGOs as a result to the inaction of governments?
- To what extent can NGOs influence the emergence of new regulations in international law?
With the presence of Lakhdar Brahimi, Pascal Boniface, Henri Rouillé d’Orfeuil, and several other esteemed personalities, the conference augurs to be mind-expanding.
